Ever since she made her return to Instagram, Meghan Markle's 2.7 million followers have been loving getting a better look at the Duchess of Sussex's home life – from learning about her favourite recipes to getting a glimpse at her family life with, Prince Harry, and their two children, Lilibet and Archie.

Now, royal fans are loving seeing the special gift that Harry presented his family with after a poignant trip to Ukraine, to meet with members of the Superhumans Center clinic in Lviv (which supports adult and children who need prosthetics following an amputation as a result of war). The clinic's work chimes strongly with the work Harry has done with servicemen and women through his Invictus Games events, offering injured, sick and wounded military personnel the chance to compete in sporting competitions.

After making his surprise trip to Ukraine, which is currently in its third year of war following a full-scale Russian invasion on February 2022, Prince Harry returned home with a special, traditional cake for the children. And as per Meghan's stories, Lilibet in particular couldn't wait to try it.

The Duchess captioned the sweet family moment with a quote from Lili:A special gift ‘papa brought back from Ukraine,’” followed by a pink hearts emoji.

Given the atrocities of the war in Ukraine right now, it sounds like connecting with royal family member Prince Harry was an emotional experience for some, including Yulia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

Following Harry's visit, she shared on Twitter/X: "The whole team is just crying, because a pastry made by grandmothers from Sumy region made from flour from de-mined fields is now on the table of Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and their family."

Very sadly, just a day after Meghan posted her Story of Lili enjoying the cake from the Sumy region of Ukraine, the area was hit by a Russian missile attack killing 34 people, including two children, and injuring 117 (according to a BBC report). Earlier today, the Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, urged President Trump – a leading figure in the Ukrainian-Russian ceasefire negotiations, and a man who once boasted he could "end the war in 24 hours"—to visit Ukraine himself to see the destruction that Russia has bought about.

Elsewhere, Meghan has been busy following up the launch of her Netflix lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan, with a new podcast focusing on female entrepreneurs.
